James C. McCloughan is a U.S. Army Medal of Honor recipient who, as a combat medic in Vietnam (May 13–15, 1969), repeatedly risked his life to rescue and treat wounded soldiers under intense enemy fire. Despite multiple wounds, he refused evacuation, saved numerous lives, and inspired his outnumbered unit through extraordinary courage and selfless devotion to duty.
